TAKES
The mindset is the strategy.
Fourteen years inside B2B payments and tech taught me this: every operational problem is a thinking problem first. This is where the reframes live.

Payments company built and exited
The work is not the hard part. You already know how to do the work.
The hard part is the identity shift. Going from the person who holds everything to the person who owns it. I watched entire sales teams get automated out of a job, one repetitive task at a time, inside a company I helped run. The identity shift is not optional. It is survival.
That shift happens here first. Then everything else changes.
What I actually believe
THE INSIDER TAKES
WHAT AI ACTUALLY REPLACES
In fourteen years selling B2B payments technology, I watched software eat entire departments one repetitive task at a time: boarding, underwriting, reconciliation. AI does the same thing to your business. It does not replace you. It replaces the parts of your day that were never actually you to begin with.
BURIED TO IN CHARGE
You built it by doing everything yourself. That was right for then. It is not right for now. I made SVP in six years because I stopped being the best task-doer in the room and started being the person who built the system other people ran. Owning a business works the same way.
PROOF, NOT PROMISES
You do not need motivation. You need evidence. In fourteen years of payments sales, the reps who lasted were never the ones with the best pitch. They were the ones with the receipts. Every time you do the hard thing, write it down. Start collecting yours.

PRACTICES
The decision you're avoiding
Pull out a notebook. Write down the one decision you've been avoiding in your business right now. Not deliberating. Avoiding. Be honest.
Then answer three things: What am I afraid of? What happens if I don't decide? What would change if I made the call today? Read what you wrote. Make the decision.
The systems audit
Look at your calendar for last week. Highlight everything you did that only you could have done. Then highlight everything that someone else, or AI, could have handled.
If more than 40% of your week was the second category, you are still operating the business, not owning it. Pick one task from that list to hand off this week.
The receipts ledger
Start a running list titled "Proof." Every time you do the hard thing this week (make the call, send the email, have the conversation, ship the thing), write it down.
By Sunday you will have evidence of who you actually are. Not motivation. Evidence. Read it when you doubt yourself next week.
“When you showed me how to use AI to build my website I had no idea it would turn into this. I have a whole brand now. A membership. Calculators. Content strategy. You changed everything for me.”

You are not starting over. You are starting again with everything you already know, plus fourteen years of watching what actually changes a business and what does not.
That is the take.
