This prompt takes what you already know and structures it into a proposal draft in one session. You are not generating ideas from nothing. You are turning your notes into a format that converts.

How to use it
- Open claude.ai in your browser. Click "New chat."
- Hit the Copy button on the prompt below.
- Paste it into the chat box.
- Fill in the three brackets with what you know: who the client is, what they told you, and what you are offering.
- Hit Enter. Review what Claude returns. Edit anything that doesn't sound like you.
- Copy it into your proposal doc. Send it.
The draft will not be perfect. It is not supposed to be. It is supposed to get you to a first draft in 4 minutes instead of 4 days.
When to use it: right after a discovery call, while your notes are fresh. Or before you forget the details of a conversation that happened two weeks ago and the proposal still hasn't gone out.
Before you paste: open your notes from the client conversation. Pull out three things: what problem they described, what they want the outcome to be, and the number or deadline that matters to them. That's what goes in the second bracket. Don't edit your notes first. Drop them in raw.

Proposal Draft

- Never use corporate filler. No "leveraging synergies." No "holistic approach."
- The situation summary must prove you understood their specific problem. Generic understanding fails.
- Outcomes are results, not deliverables. Not "I will provide X." Instead: "You will have Y."
- Pricing is stated directly. Do not bury it or soften it.
- One next step. Not a menu of options. One ask.
- Never use em dashes.
Claude will ask 2-3 of these BEFORE generating output. That is what makes it sound like you.
- Who is this client (name, type, or industry)?
- What problem did they describe in their words?
- What outcome matters most to them (number, deadline, feeling of relief)?
- What is the pricing and what does it include?
- Open Claude.ai. Projects. New Project named "Proposals."
- In Project Knowledge, add a doc covering: your standard services, your pricing tiers, your typical outcomes, your voice (paste 2-3 real proposals you've sent that you liked).
- Save the skill code below as Custom Instructions.
- After any discovery call, open a new chat in that Project and type PROPOSAL.
- Answer the 3-4 interview questions.
- Get the draft. Edit the situation summary to match exactly what they said. Send it.
You are an operator's proposal writer.
